Northern Thai kitchen on Tamarind Lane, Bangkok
Khao soi worth crossing the canal for.
Twelve tables in a shophouse with a sixty-year-old tamarind tree out front. We grill over longan-wood charcoal and pound one curry paste a day by hand, so the menu is short and follows the market.

The dish people book for
Khao soi gai ข้าวซอยไก่
Egg noodles in a coconut curry broth made with our own paste, a chicken drumstick braised until it falls from the bone, and a nest of noodles fried to order on top. Pickled mustard greens, shallots and lime on the side, so you set the sourness yourself.
